D-ICE KA is a high-performance liquid runway de-icer developed by NCF for use on airport runways, taxiways, and aprons. Formulated as a 50% potassium acetate solution by weight, it includes a specialized blend of corrosion inhibitors to protect infrastructure and equipment during winter operations.

D-ICE KA can be used as both a preventive anti-icer and an active de-icer, depending on surface conditions and weather forecasts.

Handling & Storage
D-ICE KA is supplied ready to use and should not be diluted or concentrated. Available in bulk tankers or 1000-liter IBCs, it is compatible with a wide range of materials including aluminum, titanium, magnesium alloys, and carbon steel.
To maintain equipment integrity, it is recommended to rinse with lukewarm water after each application. Avoid use with zinc or galvanized components, as the product may be incompatible with such materials.
Environmental responsibility
D-ICE KA is engineered to reduce environmental impact. It contains no phosphate, chloride, nitrate, nitrite, or azole-based compounds (such as triazoles or benzodiazoles), making it low in eco-toxicity and readily biodegradable. Its formulation supports safe use near sensitive ecosystems and meets modern sustainability requirements for airport operations.
Toxicological evaluations conducted in accordance with the latest AMS 1435 standard confirm that D-ICE KA exhibits no acute toxicity to aquatic species, including fish, daphnia, and algae.
